urgh... revision

Upon spending around two hourseach day for the past three week revising for two exams in June, it's fair to say I'm a tad sick of it. Next week, I have "exam week" at school. Which... is..... lovely.... :@
*discalimer* this post will be very boring, not worth reading at all, more for me than the rest o the world.
The exams I have are: Maths, English, Religion, French (probably writing, reading, listening) history, classical civilisations, Home-economics (bleurgh, not my choice), biology, and maybe in chemistry. So naturally I'm dreading those.
While revision isn't really required for english, and biology is only a very small amount, and history and classics I am already quite well-prepared for as I have modules coming up in those subjects anyway that I've been revising for, that just leaves maths, french, RS, HE, and possibly chemistry. Which is NOT good news, as if the truth be told, I haven't learnt a thing in maths all year, and there is a LOT to learn. French I am already quite good at, but again, a LOT of learning (especially of verbs)w ill be required. Religous studies will also be a good chunk of the text book, and while I could spent hours deliberating over the different types of bacteria used to grow cheese-mould, and the coagulation of egg-protien, I don't think I'll be revising much (if at all) for home-economics. 1)because (shoot me) I don't put much stock in non-achademic subjects. well, other than art and drama. home economics? please. I don't want to be a chef. and I can't help that. 2) this subject is not ability-set, so even if i did absolutely atrociously, I wouldn't be "moved-down" as such. 3)I think I'll probably do OK in it without revision. It's mostly just common sense. eg:Q How could we make these biscuits more healthy? A: by using brown flour instead of white, and adding dried friut. <--- not exactly rocket-science. but mainly, because these exams DON'T COUNT FOR ANYTHING. When things do actually count for something (GCSE) I do work my BUTT off. so I don't think they can complain when an A* student hasn't spent hours revising for tests that mean nothing.
I HOPE there won't end up being a chemistry test, because the truth is I know nothing of the natures of metallic vs covalent bonds, andgiant atomic structures. and that would be a LOT of learning.

mmm.... we'll see how it goes.
RANT OVER.

Well hello

So, as you may have inferred from the ttle, I wish to express my greetings. Greetings traditionally pose a standing at the beginning of conversation, where one person meets another or a group of people. Or even, supposedly, an object.
I feel like this blog is the beginning of something, and since I can't really see many people (or even one person) ever being particulary interested in reading and/or following any of my blog posts, I regard myself as greeting the object of the internet, perhaps the hypothetical reader, and maybe even a new outlet in my life.

So, hi... I guess.

I sincerely hope that all of this psycho-babble and waffle (I like waffles (not blue ones, which I regrettably have some degree of virally-internet-obtained visual information on)) has by now scared away anyone who has happened across my blog, or at least anyone who isn't smart enough to understand it. (The babbling, not my blog. Many apologies for that little ambiguity).
If you're curious about my username, well you wouldn't be if you were as familiar with the youtube sensations: fiveawesomegirls, and especially HayleygHoover as I am. (The 'g' stands for gangster). Hayley's "Thursday" segment in the series "fiveawesomegirls" occasionally featured a certain potted-cactus as a talking-prop, which Hayley so named "Gladys". (Usually referred to as "Gladys the cactus").  As the main reason I got a blogger account was to follow Hayley's blog, I saw it only fit that my username pay fair tribute to the 5AG, HayleygHoover, and Harry Potter. (The name of my blog being "Watch out, I'm actually a Mimbulus Mimbletonia..." the cactus-esque plant belonging to Neville Longbottom in the fifth of the Harry Potter series: Order of the Phoenix. (Harry Potter-with witch I am obsessed.(excuse the pun(if you don't get the pun, screw you))).

And so the name GladysgCactus was born.
